When discussing one of the few previous games that featured a Black woman protagonist, Jules said:
“The issue with the game, even though I loved it, was that they force you to dress as a slave,” ...
“And I was like, ‘Did they not have any Black people on their team?’ Their fantasy is not to be slaves in their game. We want to do stuff. We want to time-travel. We want to slay dragons, save villagers, and do cool stuff, but we don't want to be slaves.”
